Even if you are able to make phone calls, you may not have cellular data coverage access. Check your phone to make sure data is enabled and available.
Also, if you are using the web browser based App check to make sure you are not in anonymous or "incognito" mode. In nearly every way, native apps installed from the iOS Apple App store or the Android Google Play Store are better than the web App.
